Gorham Middle School Reviews

I currently am a 8th grader here at Gorham Middle School! It is fabulous with diversity as it has their own diversity club.. called Civil Rights. The area surrounding the school is amazing and is wonderful for events and as well perfect for after school activities and or a calming summer walk. On the other hand... the math teachers aren't really good besides one teacher who may retire in the near future.. her name is Ms. Donna Pastore. She is great, though, she does teach in a Math Lab so the space is limited to who she teaches. Otherwise... great school and a wonderful town to live in!
I went was the old Shaw school, now a town hall. It was really old with espestoes and unlocked small doorways leading to the piping system of the building and another door led to the roof and was never locked because all locks were skeleton key locks. The vice principle wasn't liked by many, including parents, later found out she had been arrested for drunk driving. One great thing about the school is the quality teachers. When I went, it was 7th and 8th grade. Now the new middle school is huge compared, housing 6th, 7th, 8th. Quality teachers and administration. Check out YouTube and you'll see videos of faculty and kids shooting hoops in creative fun ways. Also faculty playing games in giant blow up suits running into each other. It's really fun to watch, it shows the extra lengths the faculty take to ensure a fun creative learning community that tries to stay up to date on hip trends to keep students engaged. I wish they had been doing that when I went 13 years ago.
