Goose Creek Memorial is great school that has great opportunities for anyone that is looking to further their commitment to learning. When I first came to Goose Creek Memorial I was very nervous because everyone always had something to do (activities, clubs, studying etc.) I never knew that I could fall completely in love with learning, school and wanting to continue to learn. Goose Creek Memorial has so many opportunities for so many different types of people. I am a senior working on getting my associate's degree directly from Lee College and yes, I know many high schools may be able to get student to graduate with an associate's in high school but I have not seen a school help and guide students toward that achievement positively and successfully such as GCM. So, as you can see I absolutely love GCM, so many opportunities, so many different types of people and most importantly so much love and fun goes throughout this entire school.

The student population at the school is very accepting and super nice to be around. Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same for the faculty and staff. Many teachers at the school seem to have an allergy to teenagers, or a frustration with their work that they enjoy taking out on their classes. A lack of organization in several teachers causes work to go missing, and that drops students grades exponentially. On top of that, the administration seems unwilling to do anything to change the real problems with favoritism in classes and extra-curriculars to focus on minuscule problems like a hole in someone’s pant leg, or a phone that was only out to be turned off.
Although my time at GCM is almost over, I can honestly say I would not have wanted to attend any other high school in these past 4 years. I believe the school has always done an amazing job providing the technology that we needed. I think that my school does a great job trying to prepare us for college while also having many different organizations that students can get involved in. I think when we are offered the chance to get more involved in things that interest us it makes everyone's experience much more enjoyable. Of course some teachers and students I did not always agree with, overall I think GCM is the best high school in the district.
