This school has a sense of community that is unbeatable. Most of the staff (besides the few) really love their time at Golden and what they do. There is a wide array of both sports and clubs for every type of person. In many ways it also has the same struggles of other schools, but for the most part there in minimal bullying and a good support staff if needed. But I would say this is a great school!

Golden is the best school I could've possibly attended. The students are so incredibly kind here, while friend groups exist, there are no cliques, and everybody is so open and friendly. Every teacher at Golden is passionate about what they do and is always willing to help, even if you're not their student. The administration here is also really focused on each person having the best high school experience they can have, everyone at Golden cares about you. If I had to critique Golden I would only have two complaints: staff turn over and communication. I had three separate assistant principals and three separate counselors over my time at Golden, which made it incredibly difficult to form close bonds with people. The communication can also be a bit strange, as I often found myself not knowing about activities, as a minority student, I found that Golden is phenomenal at handling discrimination. The school is truly focused on creating the best world for its students.
I would say my overall experience at Golden High school was really positive. I felt extremely comfortable talking to most my teachers and staff from the school, and as a result I feel very safe at school. The people that attend Golden High School may be racially very undiverse, but we have one of the most economically diverse schools in all of Colorado. There are kids who can't afford lunch, and there are others who drive Teslas to school. As a result of this I feel that I have been able to navigate my way through all kinds of different relationships and have a greater empathy for people from all kinds of backgrounds.
