My son has been at Goethe now for 5 years and my daughter will be there in the fall. Although we love the fact that my son has learned a second language, we enrolled in the lottery because of the International Baccalaureate program and couldn't be happier with our decision. IB has taught my son HOW to learn, how to inquire, how to ask questions and how to be a global citizen. He isn't just being taught to, he's part of the journey of each unit. He's also learning a second language! The teachers at Goethe are phenomenal, dedicated, so incredibly knowledgeable and worldly and they truly love these kids. Goethe is a gem!

My children have been attending Goethe for the last 2 years and we love it! They used to attend a highly-rated Westchester public school in our area and we're so happy that we switched. The teachers are the reason why we're at Goethe. They work very hard with each child to figure out how to use their areas of strength to help build up their weaker areas, they are all kind but firm, and did I mention they work HARD?!
This is a great school. My son has been attending here for 2 years now and he absolutely loves it! There are some issues regarding high teacher turnovers and principle retention but give me a school that doesn't have issues? There isn't one! Parents who complain don't realize this and don't know what a good school looks like. Often times they don't get involved with their child's life and do not follow what is going on at the school. They expect things to be done by everybody else and want their child to be taught without helping them at home or with their homework.

I volunteer at the school and many other parents do as well. They are passionate and they love the kids at Goethe. Many times I see these parents on a weekly basis doing almost as much as a school employee....but they are volunteering! If you want a great school that is what you want to see, parents who get involved! We have lots of it here!
