My son LOVES school - he's 5 and in his 1st year. As a former teacher, I had strict criteria when looking for a school for my child. Goethe has delivered on all these criteria so far. The IB learning approach has been everything I'd hoped it would be - this is the way all schools should teach. The diversity has been amazing - it was important to me that school expose him to cultures, backgrounds, and languages outside the bubble of our neighborhood, and Goethe delivers in droves. The language aspect is incredible - we don't speak German at all, but already he can understand and respond to German conversations. Teachers & staff are AMAZING, truly. I love the process they use for discipline when issues arise - it's so much healthier than the punitive shaming at most schools. The campus itself is not pretty, but has grown on me simply because there is so much SPACE - for the kids to play at recess, an auditorium for winter concerts, dances, & assemblies. So grateful to be here!

Very happy to have my daughter at Goethe International Charter School. If I could choose one word to capture the school’s spirit, I would say caring. The teachers care, the administration cares, even the parent community cares. Beyond that I am excited that she is able to learn in an IB World School that highlights more than just the common core requirements, but instead digs deeper for greater understanding and real world application. What a special place!
My only complaint would be the campus. BUT don’t let that deter you. Every other element makes up for it in spades...
My son has been at Goethe now for 5 years and my daughter will be there in the fall. Although we love the fact that my son has learned a second language, we enrolled in the lottery because of the International Baccalaureate program and couldn't be happier with our decision. IB has taught my son HOW to learn, how to inquire, how to ask questions and how to be a global citizen. He isn't just being taught to, he's part of the journey of each unit. He's also learning a second language! The teachers at Goethe are phenomenal, dedicated, so incredibly knowledgeable and worldly and they truly love these kids. Goethe is a gem!
