Over the last decade, millions more children in developing countries have gained access to primary school education. Despite this achievement, a large number of children enrolled in their first years of school are still not learning how to read, write, or do basic math. Building on previous research, researchers in this study evaluated the impact of several targeted instruction programs on the learning outcomes of primary school students in Ghana’s public schools. Researchers found significant improvements in numeracy and literacy on average, with regional variations. Of four interventions, in-school and after-school remedial lessons delivered by Teacher Community Assistants had the largest impact on pupil achievement.

At Glenville high school I had the chance to make family. Not friends but family and real connections. The teachers made the environment so much better then you would think. They actually care about there students they are not just another student id. Also students around you became your family because your teacher would give you so much group work you have no choice. But they don't give the projects as a source of punishment. They want you to bond with you fellow classmates so that once you graduate you would want to keep in touch. They make sure that you can great friendships for life.
Glenville is like a home away from home, all the students get along, for the most part. The teachers tend to make the lessons relate to real life situations and college preperation.
