SWAT ( Students Working Against Tabaco) was a very neat club! We would meet once a month and do something to try and clean up our community. One meeting we went to the park and picked up cigarette butts, another we handed out fruit at lunch. Simple things to keep the community clean and health, one month at a time.

Growing up I never imaged myself indulging into sports or clubs until I attended Glencoe High. As I graduated I had completed six years of softball, four years of cheerleading, became an FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) leader, held a position in Student Council, became editor of the yearbook, was a member in SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) and enjoyed one short season of basketball. Glencoe High had many different activities to enjoy and others would see that if they would contribute their time.
The teachers at Glencoe High are very friendly. Being that the school is so small, everyone knows their teachers on a personal level and it is the same for teachers with students. Many of the teachers will notice when something isn't right and tend to step in to help the student out. Most of the students would consider the teachers friends. The teachers at Glencoe High are only teachers, friends, or coaches, they are leaders, role models.
