Great learning oppurunities and staff! Most teachers are genuinely passionate about what they're teaching and care a ton about their students. The social workers have also been good in my experiences. There's lots of activities so you're almost destined to find one that fits your forte. With positives though, there are negatives. The administration itself has made a lot of confusing and, for lack of a better word, sketchy decisions. Nothing that completely derails your learning experience, but you can't help but be incredibly frustrated by it. Of course administrations are always subject to change, but I am far from a fan of the current administration. School culture and spirit has completely died over the course of my attendance. As a graduate I really do hope that the administration gets their crap together and really make the school more of a community rather then just a place of education.

I really enjoyed my experience at Glenbrook South High School. I had a lot of teachers who were very supportive. If I needed help with anything, they were always willing to help me and provide resources if they didn't know the answers themselves. There were so many different types of activities that you could join and if there isn't something that you see, you can create it yourself! During my Senior year, I did a Senior Project which helped me start to figure out what career path I would like to pursue. It was a very nice way to get hands on experience to see what it is really like. Everyone there is so supportive. I felt safe for the most part at school. They are working on how to make everyone feel safe and welcomed. One way they are doing that is implementing gender neutral bathrooms which I think is a great step. I had such an amazing experience at Glenbrook South and the community and people make it so great.
There is no doubt in my mind that Glenbrook South is an amazing school. From the first day as a freshman to my last day as a senior, I knew instantly I was in great hands. Nearly all of the teachers are very dedicated to ensuring their students are learning and help them along the way if they do struggle. I am so grateful to have studied at a high school to this standard because I am very confident that I have received an outstanding education and I could not picture myself anywhere else!
