I am part of the Girls Soccer Team, Band, Many clubs and I am in honors/AP classes. In high school they encourage kids to get involved. Even with the current state our country is in and schools having to do E-learning, Glenbard North teachers and administrations still works hard to keep the students informed and active. Everyday my teachers make us assignments and ask us how everything is going. They are extremely caring and understanding. While the school doesn't really have the parents involved, they make sure the students are ready for college and their future beyond that. Our Athletics program works with student so that they are safe and are able to play the sports they want. The program provides lot of high end equipment, trainers, and great coaches. Our Fine Arts program is full of wonderful teachers and supported unconditionally by our administratives. In all Glenbard North is a very welcoming community that prepares students for the real world.

My experience at Glenbard North High School was one of diversity. I have met a lot of people from different backgrounds and religions. The clubs gave me opportunities to learn about different ethnicity and connect with others with the same interests. I was also able to do volunteer opportunities through these clubs. I learned a lot from my classes and some of the teachers were very approachable and easy to learn from. I played Volleyball for the panthers and made some good friends from the team as well as other teams. The exposure to different ethnicity, the education I received from my teachers, and the teamwork I experienced in volleyball gave me a good basis for college.
Glenbard North isn't a bad school but it isn't great either. Growing up in the area, I kept a lot of my friends from elementary school and made new ones too. The school has A LOT of diversity and it usually makes the classes fun. Speaking of which, the teachers at the school are great! Some of them can be terrible, but many of them sympathize with students if the students do their work. At the school, most of us are lazy because we think the school has gotten "lazy" in academics. They think the more AP classes someone takes, that'll be better for the school. Really, we don't have a smart school where they make EVERY student the best they can be. But the school does a GREAT job of trying to cater to each student. OF course GBN may look and feel like a prison, but honestly, it isn't that bad. All you have to do is stay optimistic and get through it.
