My husband and I are extremely grateful for the education that Glen Urquhart provides. Our son graduated from the 8th grade last year and our youngest currently is in the 2nd grade at GUS. We have found that GUS's strong academics, coupled with its supportive and nurturing environment, are key ingredients to success at any age. Our son is doing very well at an academically rigorous high school - his grades are impressive and his love of learning is a wonder to see. Our 7 year old loves school. She is an avid reader and self-proclaimed product designer, coming home each day with stories of her day filled with learning, adventure and exploration. We believe that GUS offers children grades kindergarten though 8th with the best education available on the North Shore and are thrilled to be a part of it all.
We were trying to decide between the tailored, child-centered focus and academic rigor of a private school, and the diversity, community and openness of a public school. We found both, and even more at Glen Urquhart. From the first moment of our visit, we were struck by the creativity and goodness that permeate every nook and cranny of this magical campus. 3 years later, our daughter is thriving in every way we could have hoped for: academically, creatively and socially. If you are seeking a place where the educators genuinely care about each child, and work to bring out the best in them, look no further. GUS is your place.
