Overall my experience at Gilroy High School was pretty good, I transferred from a cross-town school called Christopher High School. But as soon as I transferred I felt very comfortable something I never felt at my other school. All my teachers were wonderful and very helpful. All the students that received me were great! One thing I probably would change is the food department I feel like the lunch ladies can be rude and also they serve very little food. I never was full. I also played soccer throughout my year I was there. It was the best year for soccer throughout my entire 4 years of playing a high school sport. The coach knew a lot about the sport and he wasn't just there for the money he wanted us to get better in the sport and also disciplinary wise.

Gilroy High school was a good experience! It was the only high school in our town at the time which made it full of students but fun. As every high school has its pros and cons Gilroy high school was a safe and relaxed environment, at least for me. I remember enjoying my classes but wishing there were more passionate teachers.
Gilroy High School provided me with the right tools and education to prepare for college and to be successful. I am in the Biomedical Science Academy which is a great reason for what makes Gilroy High School stand out. Another organization that may prepare students for college and careers is the Future Farmers of America program. An aspect that could be improved with Gilroy High School is the variety of classes. For example, some classes may offer a regular level or an AP class but not an honors level. Many students may not believe they will do well in an AP class but an honors level choice may be better suited for students who want to challenge above a regular level class.
