I have attended Gilchrist High School for 3 years and sit has been good. The people are very hard working and kind. Although the people are great, what we have is limited, teachers have had to buy their own supplies to do fun activities in class because we didn't have the funding. We have been fortunate enough to get free lunches for everyone but there have been many times where kids get very sick from eating the food, including myself. Also involvement in after school activities is very limited and I hope that future students want to be more active with the school.

Gilchrist School is a very small, friendly school that builds long-term friendships. But being a small school, the school does not get enough funding for extracurricular activities and clubs so they come out of the teachers pockets. The parent involvement does not help the funding problem either. Overall, I love this place. It has been my home for the past eight years and I am a senior. Everyone here is welcoming and very nice.
Sports are the heart of Gilchrist High School. If you are on the team you can expect to be part of a team that is very close. The facilities are rather old, but we do have a weight room, track, and beautiful gym. By like everything here it is starting to decline.
