Favoritism is bad here, with the principal and teachers. Mrs. Tepen doesn't show up to class on time & keep us past class so we're late to other classes. Mrs. Johnson talks bad about students & teachers & tells her daughter who tells all her friends, so the whole school knows the mean things this teacher says about them. mrs. Allen talks bad about students & teachers to her "favorites". Mr. martel mocks students to their face.
There are some good teachers. Mrs. Asbury is the toughest teacher here but she will always work with kids & helps kids in the other science classes too. She is really smart & you learn a lot from her if you work hard. I respect her a lot. Mrs. Hoke is a really good teacher. She makes history fun & I've learned a lot in her class in only the 2 months i've had her. She is probably the nicest teacher, she doesn't seem to play favorites as bad & she will talk nicely to everyone.

I love Gibault for several reasons. First, the teachers here are very accommodating and want you to understand the concept. I go on in during office hours and most of them are very nice and love seeing kids ask them for help. I would like more courses to be offered here. As an engineering major, I wish Gibault offered some kind of engineering program to get young men and women into this amazing field and see the kinds of things it can offer.
At Gibault you really do experience the pressure that college will have. Teachers push you and don't really stop because one or two people don't understand it. If you were one of the two people, it was your job to either come to the teacher for help, or find a way to learn it on your own. I know this sounds like the teachers just don't care about their students but that isn't true, I really feel by them doing this that they have prepared me to go to college. However, if there were to be one thing that I wish Gibault would change is the favoritism shown by some of the teachers and sadly the principle. Grant it there are some teachers who show no favorites and are kind and willing to all students, but there are also some teachers who show favorites and you can see it in the classroom, and that to me is a huge problem.
