From German School Brooklyn

German School Brooklyn is NYC's first and premier K-12 German international school offering a seamless English-German Bilingual education to a global community of students currently up to 9th grade.

GSB follows a Mixed Academic Model (50/50), taking the best practices from both German and American approaches. This hybrid approach focuses on independence, exploration, reasoning and creative problem-solving in the classroom.

We use a cross-curricular, cross-cultural and cross-lingual approach to empower young minds to see and make the complex connections that shape our world with language as a powerful foundation for learning, not just a subject for class.

At GSB we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all education. Our mission is to amplify the unique potential of every child, so they can achieve the greatest version of themselves.

GSB Lower School accepts students without prior knowledge of German. Tuition assistance available.

Bilingual learning path: No German? No problem!

Whether in German or English, caring, skillful teachers and inquiry- and project- based learning strategies encourage class time to be dynamic and student led. We strive to spark our students’ inherent curiosity about the world, and give them the tools to learn by developing their abilities to think analytically and creatively, all the while encouraging learning to be joyful and fun.
