This is an amazing school with excellent and inspirational teachers. The administration of the school has been in good hands as well. I love the quality of the students and the volunteerism of the parents. The community is real. I don’t intend to say that everything is perfect, but it’s the best I have seen or experienced. Everyone can find a supportive peer group if they engage. The young women who graduate from Visi are poised, confident and competent. Both of my daughters have gone here and although they couldn’t be more different in their natures they have both made friends that will last them a lifetime while getting a world-class education. I couldn’t recommend anything we have engaged in as a family more highly that this amazing gem of a school. It nurtures the young ladies talents and allows them all of the academic tools they will ever need!

I’m an alumna of Georgetown Visitation and feel incredibly grateful to have spent my formative years in this unique and special place. Guided by the generous spirit and “little virtues” of the Visitation Sisters, I also felt empowered to grow into being an independent-minded and confident woman who has a responsibility to contribute to the world while also practicing compassion and humility. While Visitation has a reputation for being rigorous, I can attest to how the work ethic I developed there has challenged me in positive ways both personally and professionally.
Very rigorous curriculum but to be successful socially is very hard as a person of color as I feel like most things like school spirit like gold white and cheer are a bit toxic and alienating. I felt like an outsider all the time and it impedes on your mental health which is why having a good friend group can help you avoid all of that. The girls are very cliquey and you basically have to establish a friend group by the end of your freshman year and if you don’t, you won’t really be accepted into other friend groups easily and if you aren’t in a friend group you won’t get invited to things. I’m very much a social butterfly so I can’t really commit to just one group of friends by I like everyone but the social environment doesn’t really make room to be a social butterfly and you kind of have to commit to a specific group.
