Georgetown Visitation specializes and prepares its students to excel in analytical thinking, and clear/effective writing and rhetoric. However, that is the one positive thing I can say as a soon to be graduate of 2017. It is embarrassing how socially deconstructive the institution is, and it is extremely infuriating that the faculty and staff hold their students to the highest scrutiny and expectations, yet refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing that is a result of their shortcomings. Finally, I was disappointed to find that I was not able to apply to prestigious colleges, since the Visitation grading policy tends to leave a majority of intelligent girls with low grades (as other schools have constructive methods to ensure A's while simultaneously ensuring proper learning) that give them absolutely no chance of acceptance, even though they are most likely more abled than a majority of the school's accepted population.

This school devotes itself to helping the young girls who walk in as freshman grow in their way of thinking and spirituality. They make sure to challenge the girls so that they grow into mature women with strong faith in themselves and understand their goal in life. This is a rigorous school, but the unity of the girls helps them push through the hardships that high school brings. I would like to have seen more diversity in the school. I also would have liked there to be more parent involvement. Besides that, The school, students, and staff cherish deeply their traditions and it is a time where you can see nearly everyone bond and unite as one.
Although it was an overall positive experience and I received an excellent education, the school is not designed with everyone in mind. If you do not learn well through reading and direct instruction only, you will have a lot of difficulty succeeding.
