I attended George Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, all of my four years in high school. It was such an amazing experience. If I had to go back and do it all again, I would in a heartbeat! The principal was Dr. Plagman, he took the time to remember students' names. He made sure to always be in a good mood and try to talk to students. He really seemed to care about the students, and we noticed. All of the students loved him, and I do believe he is what made Washington such an amazing school. I met great friends, had teachers who really cared, and learned more than I thought I would. I remember being in High School and just wishing to be done. Now, looking back, I really miss it. It was a great school and a great experience, I wish I could do it all over.

Wash is awesome, the teachers are always extremely nice and willing to take time to help you. Throughout my four years here I never had any huge problems, but if I had an issue, faculty was always there for my need. The students are very nice and I never encountered any problems there. Wash was a great place to go!
All in all, as a senior that goes to this school, I have had a wonderful first three years thus far and it honestly just gets better as it goes. Washington is very diverse and there’s always a ton going on, there are at least 4 club meetings a day with sports all the time. The teachers and administrators do an amazing job keeping the school safe and preparing us for further classes at further institutions. The student involvement at Washington is awesome, there are multiple people in multiple clubs/activities/sports. Overall, it is a great school and helps prepare you for college-level work.
