As a sophomore at George Washington High School, my great experience so far has been impacted by sports and student government. Sports and student government have taught me how to manage my time and how to be more responsible. I really like that the cafeteria menu has changed and it feels like a dining hall rather than a typical school lunch cafeteria. It gives a more warm welcoming and better tasting food! One change I'd like to have is more school dances and spirit weeks. I believe it will give students and staff a good break from class , and give us a chance to get to know everyone better! As well as increase the school spirit! Overall, I love Washington High so far and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Wash is like your typical suburban high school. Well, it's near multiple restaraunts (mostly Chinese and HK ones) that students are allowed to go to at lunch. Wash offers a good amount of APs and Honors classes (no IBs), such as AP Economics, Chemistry, Psychology, Calculus, English Lit and Lang, and many more. The vast majority of teachers and staff know what they are doing to provide a safe space to learn. From the Wellness Center present to help people with physical and emotional issues to the engaging plethora of extracurriculars offered, Wash is a great, more relaxed alternative to Lowell.
I've been at George Washington High School for 3 years now and it has been great but, I feel as though certain aspects of the school need to be ameliorated before I can say that it is excellent. In my experience so far, my teachers have all been commendable and I have learned a lot in my years at Washington. I do think that there is a lack of communication between teachers and students that creates a divide between the two, making it harder for the students to ask for help. There are more minor issues I still have with this school but other than that, I've yet to have a bad teacher here.
