What makes my school unique is ability for all of the students, faculty and staff to come together like one big family. I adore the fact that at our school we all look out for one another and will reach out a helping hand until anyone who is in need. "A failure is not an option at Carver High School." No child is and would be left behind at George Washington Carver High School. There is always someone there to catch you in areas you feel weak upon.

I would go back to this school because it has taught me many of lessons. I have grown tremendously by going to this school. I have gained more knowledge than I have had at any other school. What really stands out about this school is the concern from the teachers. The fact that many of them WANT to see you accomplish your goal and succeed shows that they care about you as if you were more than a student. The teachers at my school treat you as if you were one of their own and I love it!

I am a proud Ram. Carver was a great high school. They taught well ,but it wasn’t just that. Carver had wonderful teachers, coaches and students. What I loved the most about my high school was everyone stuck together. Everyone knew everyone,we were a family. I was a cheerleader so when people saw me. If I could go back I would.
The extra curricular activities at my school are the best in my opinion. After school, there is always a tournament being held or a tutoring class for those in need of help. Teachers stay after school and devote their time to students who like to volunteer their time to after school programs. It is beautiful to see so many students staying after school for rehearsals or trying to improve their grades in a particular class.

One of my favorite after school program is Heritage Panel. I like the Heritage Panel program because those group of people attending are all optimistic and all for world peace. They set up many of meetings and luncheons where everyone can get to one another without any drama. One activity that they had done was "Mix-It-Up Monday's". With this particular activity every Monday students would come to lunch and sit with random people they probably wouldn't talk to any other day. The objective of this activity is to make friends and make others comfortable throughout school.
