George Walton Academy is amazing if you are rich and white. If you are anything other, then you won't be accepted. If you do not fit into the tiny bubble to what they want, then you will be outcast-ed by students, teachers, and administration. Others who donate to the school heavily have no problem! I've heard that it's under new management, but haven't heard anything good about it!

George Walton does a very good job preparing its students for college. Its courses offer a range of academic rigor, from non-honors to AP or BC classes. However, some of the school's teachers, put simply, have not met the standard that the school has upheld since 1969, and that is to give an enthusiastic, thorough, and informed education. Let it be known, though, that the amount of good teachers definitely outnumbers the amount of bad teachers, and these good teachers are committed to educating the youth of our school with boundless enthusiasm. In terms of clubs and extracurriculars, George Walton has many. With such a small student body, though, clubs and sports are often found competing for as many students as possible. On the other hand, our small numbers allow intimate teaching with learning that is semi-cultivated to the individual.
George Walton Academy offers a very welcoming, safe, challenging, and caring environment. Their academics are top notch, and the teachers are caring and well educated. They have an excellent variety of clubs and sports and are even adding some based on student interests. All parents are very involved and will be welcoming and inclusive. Overal, this schools serves as an excellent college preparatory school with a outstanding environment to learn, have fun, and grow as an individual.
