GRC is an excellent High School experience for anyone. All of the teachers are amazing and the kids that enroll there are usually very pleasant and accepting. GRC was first built in 1818, and then not so long ago was rebuilt down the street. The old GRC building was fixed up and turned into the, "new," Junior High School. In my personal opinion, the rebuilding and moving of this building brought on so many new opportunities not just for students, but new teachers, too. This huge, beautiful building now allows there to be more classes for students, and because of that, more open spots for teachers. And the teachers that GRC hires to work are amazing at what they do. I understand that I'm just a sophomore, but the experience I've had so far has been astounding. Throughout my life, I've been to 7 different schools, due to moving around constantly. This is so far the best.
It's just one of those schools where you go, you learn, you do homework, and repeat it all again. Nothing interesting happens and when something does happen it's either students fighting, a gun threat, or someone pulled the fire alarm to get out of class for a few minutes.
The teachers care about their students (at least the ones that actually do their work and pay attention) and everyone wants you to succeed. If this doesn't sound like you, then I hate to say this but you were/are probably someone that doesn't care about school that much.
I graduated in the top 5% of my class and I'm about to graduate college early thanks to GRC's many college-ready courses (AP and dual-credit courses).

Looking back now, and being a college graduate about to head into my second Bachelor's degree program, I wish I would have let loose and actually enjoyed high school for what it was. I take myself too seriously sometimes and I regret not doing more in high school. This school is not a terrible school. I truly am someone who believes life is what you make of it. I know a lot of my peers really seemed to have that true "textbook" high school experience. In all honestly, high school was a breeze for me. I kinda went unseen but was still in the mix, if that makes sense. Also, when I look back, I am grateful for that small town high school environment, family, and community is created.
