I love this school! There is such a strong community where staff and students make sure everyone feels safe. George Mason receives many new students every year, so there is always someone who is less familiar with the students, yet over their time at school they feel more at home and make memories that will last forever. I was one of these students. Many of my friends were too. So when the school year flew by, it was devastating to have to move schools again and leave George Mason behind. But I knew I was never going to forget my time there. It was the best high school experience a school could offer!
George Mason overall is an excellent school. Majority of the teachers are very supportive and the education system is quite salubrious. There's a great system in which you can bond with others through sports, school activities, the performing arts, etc. For example, I myself am in Chamber Singers. An early morning class that focus on singing songs off all variety. It's great to bond with other people and know you have support right next to you!
George Mason High School is academically challenging and provides a stellar education. I will comment, the students are overly stressed and many haven't developed great social skills due to a lot of time spent studying and on electronics. Mental health issues are quite common, and, to my knowledge, a larger percentage have been diagnosed with ADHD than the general U.S. population. The facilities though are incredible; the high school was recently rebuilt with a beautiful new building, equipped with many sustainable features. The teachers also work incredibly hard, putting a ton of time and energy into the school. Overall, George Mason is a great school for any student that has the motivation to work hard.
