I graduated 10 years ago, so this may be outdated. When I attended, the academics were excellent. It's a small school so it might have less options, but the ones they do offer are excellent. The teachers are excellent and caring. I felt very prepared to enter college.
I liked the school because it was small and I was able to have close relations with my friends and teachers, but I wish we would have better sports/extra-curricular activities and more options for classes.
This school is tiny, and it's a solidly middle class area. There were a few fights, maybe one or two a year while I was at school; every school has its screwups and malcontents. Unless your kid is the type to haul off and punch someone, they will not be in a fight. We didnt use hallpasses all that often because there was no reason too, the teachers and administartion knew us all by face and name. For the most part, people are friendly, and because of the small size, clique-yness isn't a problem. I'd say its pretty LGBT-friendly, and most of the people are very open-minded and welcoming. I left my laptop and purse unattended frequently and never had anything stolen. This school is one of the safest I've ever heard of.
