We love Geneva! The education and community has made the most beautiful impact on our three children who are now grown, have graduated from college and are living lives of grace and grit. We are so grateful for this place.
Geneva is a small, Christian school with many wonderful qualities. The academics are strong, but not yet at the level of Keystone or St. Mary's. If your child is accepted into the clique then it's a wonderful, loving, supportive environment. But I've also seen several kids every year be crushed by being exlcuded and sometimes bullied. The teachers and admin are wonderful, caring people but haven't quite figured out how to how to improve this critical area of school culture. The pendulum swings pretty far wide, when it's good it's very good, and when it's bad, it's very bad. The majority of the students exeperience the very good, so it is difficult for teachers/admin to see those who need help the most.
I have been at Geneva since kindergarten and it has most definitely made a huge impact on the way I have grown up. I have grown up on a community that has always been there for me and will continue to be there for me throughout my next journey to college. Geneva teaches kids to stand out and stand up for what you believe in and how to do that well. Leadership is something we are tonight all throughout our years at Geneva so that we can shape ourselves to become the best leaders possible and to be able to bring that to the college we attend. This is a school that wants the best for their students and creates an environment that students can only succeed in.
