Geneva has a great community, we have tons of clubs and activities, academic programs, and plenty of things going on locally. There's so much to do, both in and out of the classroom; one motto we have is "there's always something going on". You can get help with classes, go to a football game, become part of one of the school's many clubs or sports teams, go see a concert, go see an art show, the list goes on and on! There's a lot of kind people in the community, there's a lot of support, there's some pretty good classes and teachers, and overall I think it's an amazing place to have spent my high school years, I really can't imagine having been anywhere else!

I enjoyed the band program at Geneva Community High School. The band directors showed that they enjoyed their jobs. However, the theatre program had no structure and always had the same people in their productions. The English teachers are amazing. They know how to engage everyone in a group discussion about the books read in class. In the math department, however, some teachers rushed through sections trying to get everything needed to learn in a semester. However, there would be times myself and others would struggle with a section and could not get our questions answered because of the time crunch.
Active and involved counseling; they lend advice and seek to improve the school by working with each individual student. Additionally, the school openly supports the ideas of all. Everyone has a voice and an opportunity to make their own mark on the rest of the school. If I were to change one thing about the school, I think there should be more time to socialize, gather, and share ideas. Often times, there are award ceremonies for only the smartest individuals at the school; there should be opportunities for all students to feel accomplished and important in the school.
