Gem State Adventist Academy Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 19 reviews
I was a Senior transfer to this institution. Unfortunately, the people were not terribly welcoming to outsiders, especially ones who were different from them. I often felt ostracized and outcasted even though I was heavily involved with the school. The administration and teachers made no effort to include me as a new student and focused solely on their long-time favorites. These reasons made me dislike the short time that I spent there and I couldn't wait to leave.
Gem State Adventist Academy’s best quality is the friendly, welcoming environment that is created by both the students and the teachers there. Every single one of the staff members is professional and cares for the well being of their students. As a student who arrived later than most, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. The programs that Gem State Adventist Academy offers, not only provides fun and new opportunities, but allows for bonds and friendships to be built. Many of my fellow students attending believe the same way. Overall, Gem State Adventist Academy provides and experience unlike any other high school can, and gives beneficial opportunities for the students.
Gem State Adventist Academy has been the best educational experience for me. I have learned so much from both students and staff. This is a place where I feel welcomed and feel my faith has grown exponentially. No cliques here, everyone is friendly and accepting of everybody regardless of their differences. I have grown in my educational learning and am able to take higher level classes like calculus. Our music and sports extracurriculars are fun to be in as well. One thing I would change about Gem State is to have more musical groups such as a jazz band and have more extracurriculars like drama or cooking. Overall, my best 4 years have been at Gem State Adventist Academy.
