I am currently finishing up my senior year here at Gateway. I personally feel, that I've had a great four years of high school, because of the teachers here, the students. The teachers her are dedicated to their work and always want to see you succeed. The district does well with afterschool tutoring for students who are struggling and they offer challenging AP/Honors courses that certainly prepare you for your next step after high school. Whether you graduate right after or move on to college, Gateway ranks top in our region in academics and surely prepares you for the future. What I also like about Gateway, is the diversity in our district. We are one of the most diverse schools in our area, and I like this, because I make friends with people of different races and ethnicities and I have the opportunity to learn from them.

I had a great time in high school, and I honestly loved it. However, it was much different then than it is now. By that, I mean there was much more freedom when I was there, and it felt like more of a welcoming environment; I did not completely dread going to school each day.

When I was there, I would have liked to see more anti-bullying efforts/campaigns. Although I did enjoy my time there, I feel like there can always be more effort to put an end to bullying. I saw many people being bullied each day, and although I would step in and stand up for the person whenever I could, I would have liked to see more of an effort from the school/administration.
Really great diversity. I never thought my high school experience could allow me to learn about so many cultures, ethnicities, and religions. The academics are fairly good, but need improvement. There is a very limited group of students in Honors/AP Classes, and I believe that so many more students would be capable of taking these classes with a little better preparation and encouragement.
