Gateway Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.63 out of 5 245 reviews
After graduating from Gateway two years ago and attending a private college, I cannot be more satisfied with how well I was prepared for rigorous college courses. It seems like I am far more prepared than my peers at college in terms of time management, the course loads, self-advocacy for classes and professors, and the school work.
For the reviews that may speak down on academics: what you put in is what you get out. The teachers genuinely care about your success and who you are as a person; they offer high support with high challenge, which is the perfect formula to thriving. Also, the student bodies are inclusive, supportive, and overall kind to all!

To begin, I enjoy the diversity Gateway High School has, as many students from all walks of life interact with each other. Instead of only trying to teach diversity, we live it. Also, my teachers who attended this same school themselves have confirmed that the area has always been diverse.
Additionally, I enjoy the services provided for us, students. We have adequate classrooms, food, vending machines, restrooms, recreational areas, etc. It is also worth mentioning that they take our safety seriously. To elaborate, we have school police that protect and interact with students. We have many cameras and other security measures as well.
Finally, I like the people. If it weren't for the student body, there would be no one to teach. Also, you cannot forget our teachers, as they work extremely hard to provide us with a quality education. Their commitment to our success is something that I really appreciate. To conclude, the great people and resources we have make this school special.

Majority of high schools are there for students for them to step into another stage of their lives. This is where they are open up to new ideas and outlets where they can truly find themselves. Gateway Senior High School has accomplished and more. It was here where I developed key relationships with teachers, counselors, other staff, and other students that I will forever cherish. One of the many factors that makes Gateway Senior High School stand out from not just the surrounding schools but all of western Pennsylvania was the push that the students were given to be their best. This could range from students to be acknowledged for their hard work, whether if they were successful or not, and the individual help students were given to better themselves. However not everything is perfect. One factor that Gateway can improve on is their organization of school-held events. It was too often events were organized by our student government and few key teachers
