Gateway Early College High School Reviews
Rating 3.93 out of 5 150 reviews
As a senior at Gateway Early College High School, I am grateful to the instructors and academic advisers for their contributions to my academic growth. Over the course of my four years at this high school, professors and academic advisers have assisted me when I needed guidance on how to manage my classes or encouraged me to choose which classes would be best for my area of interest. Academic advisors and instructors encourage students to remain on track and to demonstrate if need help, teachers can work with them to create a study plan or another strategy that will motivate them and assist them throughout their four years of high school. Gateway has created clubs like art, drama, and drawing as well as sports like basketball, volleyball, and soccer in an effort to promote inclusivity among students and encourage partnership among all teachers and students. these activities will serve to ensure that the students feel safe and at ease while attending Gateway Early College High School.
Looking back on my high school experience, I have mixed emotions. On one hand, I made some great memories of making new friends and learning in my classes. On the other hand, there were definitely some tough times and moments of stress. I think high school is a unique time in everyone's life that shapes who they become as an adult. It's a time to learn and grow, both academically and personally. While I wouldn't want to go back and do it all over again, I'm grateful for the experiences and lessons I gained at GWECHS during those two years after transferring. Overall my experience at this school for those two years was pretty epic.
My experience Gateway Early College High School is pretty unique, because I would never thought that I would be taking actual college classes before attending college or university. The teachers are all kind, caring and are willing to help their students and pushing their students to improve. Being able to have a hint of what it feels like to be in a college class. Students even have the opportunity to graduate with associates degree. The classes are usually small, meaning it is much easier to reach out to the teachers if a student is having a problem. At times it can be difficult, and confusing but that is what it takes for me to improve, and does not matter if I learn at a fast or slow rate. As long as I am moving forward and improving in some way that is all that matters. The high school may not be perfect in some aspects, but it is good enough for me to rate my overall experience as excellent.
