My experience at Gateway Christian School is one that I wouldn't exchange for no amount of money. The Biblical knowledge that I have gained is beyond any academic standing that I could attain. The intimate relationship that I have come to know with my Lord and Savior through the teachings of the curriculum, as well as my pastors, have prepped me to be strong in my foundational beliefs throughout life. However, my academic career at Gateway has been phenomenal. I am one of the top students in my class and feel that I have been well prepared for college classes and life experiences through the opportunities offered here. The small class sizes has allowed me to receive one-on-one instruction that is invaluable, as well as develop personal relationships that will be lifelong friendships. I am truly blessed to have attended Gateway Christian School!
I did not like any aspect of my time at Gateway. The atmosphere and people of the school were not great at all. The administration at the school seem to be very cliquey.
As a graduating senior in May, I am honored to have been a student at Gateway Christian School, where the A Beka curriculum has been taught. I have received an accredited, comprehensive academically challenging, college preparatory education, while also being disciplined in the knowledge of God and the Christian way of life. As a result of attending Gateway Christian School, I feel that I have been well prepared to be successful in a college setting.
The cafeteria is very clean. The menu items are not too broad, but they are cheap enough. They serve fruits and veggies for most of the week, and they are able to make accomodations.
At Gateway, everything is safe. The people are friendly to each other, and the school is very safe. They have gates that surround the elementary part of the building. One can have peace of mind attending this great Christian school!
The teachers are excellent! Some have been around for a long time, while others have only been there since 1 or 2 years ago. They teach in a way that you can understand the material, and they really care about the students not only in academic performance but also in their daily lives! They grade fairly, and they know their subject matter. Keep up the great work
I believe that my high school has prepared me for college and the real world after I graduate because I know many things I have learned here will be familiar to me when I go off to college in August.
At the school, the athletic program is up to 8th grade only. There team has its ups and downs, and the students are very supportive of their team even if there are some that actually do go. Nevertheless, the experience is a great one.
At Gateway, there is only a boy's and girl's basketball team, and a Beta Club. To be in the basketball teams, one must be athletic enough to be in. To be in the Beta Club, one must at least be on the A/B honor roll for that 9 weeks to be considered a member.
At Gateway Christian School, there is absolutely no peer pressure because the school provides a safe learning environment where God is always glorified and acknowledged. Many of the students are accepting each other, and the students and teachers are very involved with each other. At the school, one just has to be himself because he will not have any problems fitting in.
