The only thing I liked about Gate City High School was the band. The band teacher is amazing. The school is ony partical to people who are known in the community. It is sad. All they care about is sports, not academics. The sports are not even that good, besides Mac Mclung anyways. The food is terrible. There were always bugs like roaches etc in the floor throughout the hallways.

I like how close everyone is at Gate City. It is a small school, but a good kind of small. I used to attend a bigger school and I liked it, but when I moved to Gate City it made me realize how much I liked a smaller school better. Small can be bad sometimes, like everyone knowing everyone's business, but it can also be good. At Gate City, there is a lot to get involved in and there is a lo of fun stuff.
The thing I loved most about Gate City was that there were plenty of opportunities for extracurricular activities. From athletics to theater to academics, there was no shortage of clubs and teams. Like any other high school, the only negative thing I took away, was just how privileged the popular kids were. Having clicks is bad enough when it comes to kids being left out, but at that school it always felt like some of the teachers and staff fed into the idea that some kids are better than others.
