I have attended GISD since Pre-K and I am now a Junior. The thing I love most about Garrison is hospitality; most teachers and staff treat everyone as if they are family. Within the student body there is much hospitality as well. There is not a lot of bullying or picking that goes on during school. A few things I want to see change at Garrison is the extracuricular oppurtunities. The only things here are a few sports, AG, Band, Cheer, and Theater. I would also like to see more college reddiness being taught. Overall Garrison High School is an amazing school and I am pround to call myself a Bulldog.
Great small school environment. Everyone knows each other and helps one another. Bad thing is it's a small school so funds are very limited. They need to retain better teachers. Spend more money on dual credit classes and college preparedness.
Sports takes priority sometimes because that is where the school gets money.
They try to get the students ready for college by offering honors classes and dual credit college classes. But the school only pays for one class per year, so the rest is on the parents.

Garrison is a very laid back school, which is just about the only good thing about it. The school is very conservative with all the teachers and the school board which is more times than not a bad thing. This leaves the student body to have stricter rules that restrict expression. Being such a small school it also allows for a lot of gossip, which the teachers are more than happy to get into.
