GMCS was the school I grew up in. Not only did I receive a wonderful education by some of the best teachers, I learned how to grow my walk with the Lord. This school provides a safe environment and it feels like one big happy family. Not only do they provide education, they also have a wide variety of sports including: Basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball, golf, track, and cheer. They also have a great after school care program that allows some students to work with another teacher once school is dismissed. It has been a joy to see how much it has grown in just the four years I have been away to college. If you send your child here, you will not be disappointed!

I am currently a senior at Garrett Memorial and I have been here since 4th grade. The teachers here love what they do and teach very well. The principal does everything he can for us to be able to get the education we have, even to the point of teaching classes when we don't have a teacher. He also became the high school and Jr. high basketball coach when we couldn't find anyone else to take up the position! All the faculty members are loving, Christian people and would do anything for us to succeed, not only in our academic lives, but also in our spiritual lives. There aren't very many clubs, but the school board is always open to ideas. In the past few years Garrett has started a trap team, a cheerleading squad, a golf team, and a Leo's club! The school is always expanding. Garrett started off as a small elementary school that only went through fourth grade, but now it has a full elementary and high school with around 270 students!
Everyone that teaches here has a unique style of teaching and all of them come together to make our school a knowledgeable environment. They all put much of their time and effort into us. Many of my teachers are retired public school teachers who still want to help kids but can make their own teaching schedules. They are awesome!
