Attending the Garnet Valley School District has been an amazing experience, and I couldn't imagine having a better education. Garnet Valley High School holds a supportive environment, with teachers, faculty, and students who are willing to go out of their way to help you. I've never experienced or witnessed any bullying or extreme negative behavior coming from other students, because of the sense of community and pride we take as Jags. If anything unfortunate were to happen to someone, the whole community would be there, supporting them. Academic wise, most of the teachers at Garnet Valley High School are well-qualified at teaching and are reasonable when it comes to grades--try your best and you will not be disregarded. Lastly, the various clubs and activities to join are great ways to meet new people and have a great time! Attending Garnet Valley High School was an amazing experience for me, and I will be sad to leave my town when I graduate in June.

The school is great! The teachers really focus on student success, and do everything to ensure we are prepared for the rigor of college classes. The AP and honors courses are available to everyone, and the preparation for exams since freshman year has been very useful.
GVHS is a great school but with some minor downfalls. They often neglect activities that aren’t as popular or can’t make them look better. I.e. funding the most popular sports more than the marching band or theater. The school lunches are often times not the healthiest with greasy, globs of cheese with bacon on top of potato wedges or neglected salad stations with the lettuce decaying. The school board also decided to change to a 6 period rotation schedule despite protest from a large majority of students and teachers, merely promoting their own agendas. That being said, the teachers at GV care for their students and push for their success. I’m incredibly fortunate to have been taught at this school and value the education I received.
