My family moved from this school district this school year . My daughter was in the middle of fifth grade when we moved. When she was in third grade everything thing was great. But towards March of fourth grade sh3 was called a name that she didn't like. Many of the girls would call her this. And most of her math. In fifth grade she was excluded for supporting a sports team, that the other kids didn’t like. They’re is some bullying in this school. Not a lot and most of it is teasing. But there is still some. Even though some kids were mean to her the school is still great. I love the choir program and the academics are also great. The teachers are all so great and they teach so all the kids can understand. Overall my daughter’s experience at this school was good.
I think the principle and staff overall really care about the students and safety and make learning fun and really do alot for the kids. The only negative, which is at every single school I'm sure, is the girls can be a bit rude, cliquey and not very loyal. Teachers however do alot to nip a problem in the bud. My kid is in 5th and I just tell her befriend kids here slowly because some will ice others out and bully. My son had little issues but the girls, some are respectful and some may be modeling their moms and make poor friends sadly
I went to this school some time ago. This school is good academic wise but not so good otherwise. During my time here my fellow classmates were very rude. I told them multiple times to stop teasing and bullying me, but they never stopped doing it. At one point I was put into counseling, however that didn’t solve the problem.
One time when I was eating lunch, a teacher came up and started yelling at me because I was “eating to slow.” After this I was very embarrassed and I wished she had been more sensible about the situation.
There is not much diversity at this school, but most of the teachers and students respect all races and ethnicities.
