Garinger was able to let me be myself and open up to people who share similar interest with me. Also, there are many clubs to choose from. Being at Garinger can be a fun and awesome learning experience!

When I attended Garinger High School, it was one of the worst schools in Charlotte. Fights, police watches, and school lockdown are some of the events that happened during my time. My time here was used to excel in academics and extracurricular activities were JROTC, softball, and cheerleading. Though the school had its ranking to the people outside of the school, I met great teachers and students who I know are making a difference in this city, Charlotte, North Carolina, today.
Today, the school has done a 360 and is doing better than the time I attended.
I have been at Garinger for 2 years. While experiencing my senior year, I realize Garinger is getting better. Last year, I was disappointed to go to there because people said this school was bad, lots of fights, students didn't want to learn, etc. However, teachers as well as the faculty staff in school are trying their best to improve the environment in Garinger. Now, Garinger has improved on the standardized test scores, innovated classrooms, had more opportunities for students to learn, access to higher education, and work in order to gain career experience.
