Garfield Elementary School Reviews

I do not like much about the school. The principal is trying, but with a low expectation on the teacher faculty it's hard to see any improvements coming. On several occasions we have been told our child is not at her reading level We have refused any disability testing as to not label our child due to her ability to read for us but as to her teacher's notes not for them, the principle took it upon his self to have our child read a book just below her level and one above her level the results being she has been taken out of her tier reading classes she was being required to take so that a child who actually needed help could have a spot, only then to be asked for our child to take an assessment test! What has become of our system to hold back and label our children for more income!
