In my time at Garey high school, it had its ups and down. Not to say that it was a bad school, but also not the best. There was the cliche of how dirty it could be, that there was no spirit, and the teachers were horrible! In the beginning I saw the truth in that statement although with time, it was anything but. It took me time to get out of my shell and get to know the resources it had and getting to know more people. I explored multiple clubs and organizations on campus, I helped many teachers with anything they may have needed, and I even took the time to help clean the school when there would be beatifications. All it really took for me to fall in love with the place was to simply become more involved. Therefore, my time as Garey was spent better than I initially though it would the first day I entered the gates. I just had to take the chances of getting out of my comfort zone it order to get used to the environment and create new memories with new people.

Before attending Garey High School, I heard many stories as to why it was a horrible school. Going in as a freshman I was definitely nervous and scared but soon grew to be comfortable with the school and the people in it. I can now say that I attended Garey High and I am not at all ashamed about it. I learned so much, grew relationships, and overall had a great experience within the four years I attended. Garey Vikings!
Garey High School, the home of the Vikings. It was a fun 4 years spending my high school experience there! Diverse, active, and a range of academic opportunities were provided at Garey High School. Many amazing teachers teach their subject with much zeal which ecstatically enhances the learning environment for all students. The campus is always maintained clean by our wonderful custodians that should also be recognized. To top it all off, many generations to come will become Vikings and will surely have a blast with all of the opportunities, academics, clubs, and college readiness activities provided in the 4 years that they will spend.
