Great school. Lots of opportunities to take dual enrollment or AP Classes to be challenged. Lots of sports opportunities and students and parents take athletics very seriously. Community involvement is very high. Lots of musical and art opportunities as well. The teachers try their best to help students. The only thing would be renovating parts of the school and adding a large theater to compete with Class A schools, that would make a huge difference. Loved my time at GAHS when I was there 2014-2018.

I had a great experience at GAHS. The teachers were always so helpful and kind which made my four years there the best they could be! The academics could have been more challenging but I most certainly took away a great amount of knowledge. 10/10 would recommend Gardiner Area High School to any upcoming freshmen or transfer students!
My high school was not understanding or accommodating for people who are struggling with issues at home. My mom was abusive to myself and my sister, upon telling my guidance counselor in my sophomore year she call to ask her what was going on. My mom told her that I was just mentally ill and therefore should not be believed. That summer my mother kicked me out. I was bouncing around because I had nowhere to go and my school would not help me. My counselor then called my mom who claimed that I ran away and was allowed to come home whenever however any time I asked to come home it was always no. Since my mother told the school that I was allowed to come home they would not help me in find a shelter to stay at. The last month of school my mom killed herself and only then did the school believe me that things were not right at home and that I was being truthful the whole time. My counselor apologized to me for not believing me after my mom killed herself but that damage was already done.
