While my high school is located in a very small town with a population of around 800, it still finds many advantages to those in larger cities. The small classes help create a stronger connection between the teachers and students. You're not just another face in a crowd. The teachers recognize each student and their individual abilities and differentiate the workload accordingly.

Garden County also offers classes that focus on agriculture, as it is a huge part of our community. A lot of kids come from an ag family, so the school helps encourage this. They provide many classes like animal science, plant science, and many others. The shop classes offer a great way for these kids to develop their skills with mechanical parts and problem solving as well.

Overall, Garden County allows the teachers to know and understand each student's capabilities and adapt their classwork to best fit both parties. They offer programs that encourage the kid's ag backgrounds to help build their future.

As a student athlete, I enjoyed the college preparation and the school athletic programs. After your freshmen year, you can pick virtually any class to better your studies and qualifications for college. You can take credited classes and work a job during the school year. On the other hand, the Athletics are outstanding. Garden County's football team has made the state playoffs for sixteen years in a row, our basketball team just recently went to state, and our girl's athletics is on the rise with some young up and coming players. Overall, Garden County Schools has a broadened horizon for schooling and a passionate vision for sports.
As a whole, the only thing that needs changing is participation. Our school has a lot of students, unfortunately not all of the students participate in school programs. If our school could have at least half of the kids participate in all extracurricular activities we could do great things. Finally, the only thing they need to change is participation.
The school offers a lot of classes and options that I haven't had at previous schools. I'm able to expand my education in ways I never dreamed of. The staff is very supportive and positive. They're all so kind and willing to do anything to help me be successful. The students are generally kind and inclusive.
