I transferred to Gar-field during my last year of high school, as a senior. I didn't like that school at all because I was still grieving the fact that we had to move and change schools and it being my last year in a new unknown school didn't help either. The first thing I noticed there, was the amount of muslim population in Gar-field and since I was muslim myself, it felt nice and homely. Later I found out that, there was a assigned prayer room for muslims to pray in, and that felt special and really nice. I told my parents about it and they were pretty impressed too. We had a MSA club for weekly meetings and it was nice to be representing for once. The people at Gar-field were kind and welcoming and nice and the teachers were great too especially Mr. Hogan. But honestly, Gar-field was kinda boring, or maybe it was just because I was new, but, other than that and a few teachers who shouldn't have a teaching licence, it was a great school!
Gar-Field High School is a great school for anybody to attend and expand their education. The International Baccalaureate is a fantastic rigorous to prepare students for college. It's rigorous and can feel intense at times, but it definitely aids in college readiness. The teachers and staff are also quite nice and hold students accountable, ensuring they receive the proper education required to be successful going forward.
