The students that go into the school are very nice. At first, as an immigrant, I immediately came to a Filipino school in my middle school year so my friends were limited and my education was limited; it was too easy. Now that I'm at gal and an upcoming senior, I would say that my experience and journey has been fun! I have a lot more diverse friends that have been with me for a long time and helping me recover from my problems. Also, I'm involved in many club activities that I love. The school gave me good opportunities to find myself and improve myself. The academics are more challenging which I like. Galileo is a a school I hoped for.

I would like to see teachers who are more involved when it comes to teaching. There were teachers who had students do book work instead of having a discussion or doing hands on activities. Some teachers also treated students unfairly based on the work they've done. The school overall isn't as spirited compared to other schools. The administration isn't as involved since I barely see them around the school. Most of the classes are actually enjoyable but some were too stressful based on the amount of homework and class work given. It was an imbalance basically. The technology often times break down and there were incidents where laptops and cameras were stolen. There were also cases as to people breaking into lockers to steal. Overall I think this school still requires some work regarding student to teacher relationships, school spirit, a more involving administration, and higher security instead.
Now being a senior at Galileo High School, I've experienced so much happen through the years, but the thing I loved most about Galileo would probably be the resources they provide for students. Students have access to Wellness centers that provide private therapy sessions, and sex-ed information, to answer any questions. From this, I felt like I had people around me who actually cared for my problems. But one thing I'd like to change about this school, would have to be the English teachers here. Not all English teachers at this school are bad, but the teachers I've gotten the previous years being a student here, I've felt unmotivated through the way they teach. In my opinion I think English teachers should be the main teacher who are there for you not only to teach you about the language of English, but they should also there to motivate you to do your best, through writing about yourself and expanding your thoughts, through writing about what goes through your mind.
