I transferred over from another high school when I moved to the Kendall area and I loved going to G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School. I made plenty of friends and during club rush I was able to join a number of clubs/organizations. I had wonderful teachers which I still remember how they used to motivate me tremendously even when I doubted myself. I loved our library because its big, beautiful, and full of amazing books. Our school is also relatively clean and food was average, but we did have clubs selling delicious bagels all the time. I had a blast going here and I loved all my classes, especially my art class! I even helped build the art gallery they have now and opportunities to grow and flourish where always at your fingertips. I was so proud to graduate from this school and it was some of the best years I've had!

G. Holmes Braddock has one of the most infamous reputations in Miami-Dade County; however, from my experience, it has given me the opportunity to make any of my dreams possible at a higher -level college institution. There is no way that somebody with dreams and a vision to not achieve success because Braddock has all the resources necessary to aid each individual in their goals. However, I would like the selectivity for the Cambridge program to improve because although it is an unparalleled opportunity and resource, it is slowly being filled by more and more students that do not take advantage of everything it has to offer.
I attribute my great experience at this school mostly to being enrolled in the Cambridge program. The magnet programs really make all the difference when it comes to great teachers, a cleaner/better looking facility, and quality of the classes themselves. Though I can't speak from one of the regular students, their teachers and their side of the school seemed like they needed a lot of work. The few classes I had in the non-magnet buildings just didn't have the same environment. If planning to enroll in a magnet I definitely recommend this school, if not, not so much.
