All around wonderful school. Very high graduation rates. Great teachers and faculty. I highly recommend Fruita Monument High School over every other high school in mesa county. They strive on making learning fun and offer many wonderful programs for all their students. Very low drop out rates compared to the other high schools in this district. No bully tolerance! Just a great school for my child!

Fruita Monument High School really focuses on athletic and musically inclined students. Their curriculum is a very challenging but promising education, along with the push towards college education is a very strong and passionate one. Yet the school provides to be a struggle towards the people who are not athletic or musically talented and may discriminate against the less talented groups of students. I would like to see an equal motivation towards the people who are less likely to succeed instead of the people who are most likely to succeed anyway. This way people who feel lesser may be given the opportunity that they believe they could never have.
I am a graduate of FMHS and I can honestly say that it was a really good school for the area! It has the largest FFA chapter in the state with really great faculty. there are many other programs at the school that really allow for students to specialize their education. However, there are some drawbacks as well. The school is overcrowded and there seems to be no plans for new facilities in the near future. there is also very little to be done with students to get them college ready there is four counselors for a school of close to 2,000.
