French Broad River Academy Reviews

Overall a great learning experience, beneficial for the the body, mind, and character. The amazing faculty helped me learn the importance of being a empowered, competent, and confident young woman. Through all of the learning experiences I developed the real understanding of determination, grit, and self value. We were pushed out of our comfort zones in and out of the classroom everyday, to build our inner character and values. The community and culture inside of FBRA is like no other. Anywhere you turn there will always be support and guidance. Overall a great experience that transformed me and all my peers into our full self potential, ready to embrace the pursuit of excellence.

Our FBRA "family" died when "leadership" denied our youngest admission after years of grooming her to believe she was part of the 'Salamander Sisterhood'. No reason was given. Being well known, and being told "can't wait to see you in 6th grade", "you're going to love it here"; were constant reminders of her involvement. Many came from girls school head, Jen Horschman - the one who decided that she was not good enough. The trauma inflicted upon our her by those she trusted is reprehensible. No child should have to endure this from those they hold dear. The destruction of her dreams from Jen was cold. It has led to sleepless nights, diminished self-esteem, and more. There has been no compassion shown from any at FBRA. School founder Will Yeiser said - "I have to coach my kids sports", "I have a holiday party", etc. This IS apparently how you treat family. Shameful... I used to admire these people that now drop their heads when they walk past. Do not go here!
