I can only say wonderful things about this excellent school. Our daughter started in 1st grade having very little knowledge of French. I was concerned because we don’t speak French at home. Now she’s in 5th grade and completely fluent! But it’s not just the fact that she is learning a second language that makes us love this school. It’s the care of the staff and teachers. The academic standards are very high and we feel incredibly lucky that we have an international school so close.
This is our second year at the French American School of Princeton. We moved from New York where my son had attended the French American School of New York for 6 years. So the language was no problem for us.
The whole curriculum is truly bilingual, providing children with excellent language skills. In middle school, Spanish is added as a third language.
The class size is very manageable in middle school and the teachers give a lot of attention to each student. My son is now in 7th grade and loves going to school every day. They have excellent teachers, who are motivated, engaged, and passionate about their subject. The teachers know every child and focus on development and true understanding of the subject. There is a lot of project work and opportunities to present to the class and even to the parents which is very engaging for the students.
The school also has a large after-school curriculum with classes ranging from badminton to pottery.
We could not be happier.

We are incredibly lucky and proud to have a chance to share our experience at FASP. Both our children attend the school with our eldest entering his fourth year. FASP is unique as it is community based, singular in its bilingual immersion program and French education that is truly practical. The school has given our children and family an incredible international community. FASP provides a worldly education, and given the diversity of the student body, we like to say we’ve given them the world without the need to travel. Backed by proven research, the immersion program has allowed them to advance not only socially but academically as well. Probably one of our favorite aspects about the school is FASP’s commitment to provide a balance of education AND creativity, fostering art and social skills which helps them to become well rounded individuals. We can not stress how much we love FASP and it’s incredible staff of educators; they have truly given our children a gift.
