The French American Academy (FAA) is a warm, nurturing, progressive school. FAA offers a child-centered environment that uses the dual lenses of French and English. As a result our curriculum inspires and cultivates open-mindedness, empathy and a lifetime love of learning.
At FAA, we combine the best of both educational systems, and, with vigor and enthusiasm, create a path to excellence.
Bilingualism at the heart of our curriculum
In Preschool, children receive four hours of English every week. Then, as the children get older the number of hours taught in English gradually increases to 6.5 hours in first grade and 10 hours in 4th grade. By the time children reach Middle School, 55% of teaching is done in French and 45% in English. The ultimate goal is fluency in both languages. And, it works.

French American Academy of Jersey City Reviews
He's attended since first grade and all along the way the school has made sure he's maximizing his learning potential and growing as a human being. The school is constantly refining its pedagogical and curricular methods to make sure its providing the highest quality bilingual education possible. And well accredited too (which means it's meeting high standards for quality education in English and French according to people other than me :)
FAA is truly a caring community. A timely example: the school proactively took on online learning early in the Coronovirus crisis. It welcomes parental feedback on what's working and not. Families are bonding together. Kids are supporting each other. I can't recommend them more highly!
