My overall experience at Freehold Township High School has been fantastic! I have been given opportunities to be a successful student and athlete with the support of my teachers and coaches. The school spirit is amazing in how everyone supports each other in the classroom, sports games, club meetings, and even how students and teachers connect in school activities. What I love about FTHS is how everyone is so kind and supportive of one another, and I love attending a school with such great people around me. The one thing I would change about FTHS, however, is a better sense of the students feeling safer when coming to school with the whole gun violence issue taking place in our society. If we can find a way to keep everyone safe, while making everyone feel safe, this school would get even better!

High school is supposed to be a great time. And Freehold Township allows you to do that. Over my time at Township, I have really enjoyed everything. As a student athlete (11 Varsity letters), I never felt that the workload was overwhelming, or that sports dictated my time. It was easy to balance all parts of my life (academics, athletics, and social). Overall the teacher are really good. Obviously you are going to have 1 or 2 teachers that you really don’t like, but in general, they really care about you. Also, the student body is really amazing. Everyone is very involved, and if they are not setting up or planning events, they are attending! The culture and pride that we have at our school is very high, as can be seen at events like Battle for the Duke, Battle of the Classes, Homecoming, etc. You are also always meeting new people. Township is relatively big and it’s not uncommon that I see someone that I never knew went there. You can’t go wrong with Freehold Township.
I feel that this school was very generic. It had everything needed and necessary but there could have been better opportunities. I also felt that the administration was somewhat corrupt and work to punish instead of working to improve a child's behavior. The guidance counselors were always busy and the school psychologist only made me feel worse about my situation. Academic wise however, I did learn a lot of information and the teachers were so nice and amazing. The students for the most part were good kids but there was a little bit of competition in the high school. Administration had to get rid of rankings because of the competition.
