Freehold Borough is the perfect place for students to excel; provided the tools for success, students are encouraged to do and to be their best both during and outside of school hours. The environment is extremely friendly, and as a student coming from another town it was very easy to acclimate, make friends, join clubs and sports teams, and most importantly, become a true Colonial! The academics are outstanding; though the infrastructure of the school may be dated, the academics remain sturdy, firm, and easily accessible for all kinds of students. Freehold Borough High School prides their existence on creating an experience for students and faculty alike which feels like family; at Freehold Borough, we are a family.

I love my school’s diverse group of students and strong foundation for academic success. Teachers really do care about us and are always willing to go the extra mile and stay behind before or after school to work with anyone needing extra help. Overall, FHS is a very supportive tight-knit community that truly feels like a family. I am proud to call myself a Colonial for life!
Overall, I had an alright experience at FHS. The school isn't perfect, of course, but I feel that the quality of its staff, academics, and student culture is around the same level than other schools in the district, if not higher. I appreciated the diversity of the school. For the most part, students were pretty accepting of one another.
