The staff is involved and thoughtful, the teachers are passionate and caring. The student body is diverse and friendly. The overall culture of the school is very dynamic and fun to be a part of. The sports teams are very hit-or-miss. A couple of the teams, such as the Track & Field team and football team, are highly successful and bring reputation and pride to the school. The marching band is incredibly skilled and passionate about their work. The bonds you form with the faculty, teachers, and students are very meaningful and will last.
Starting Freedom in 2017 it was good, but as the years went on everything seemed to be going downhill. Children weren't respecting the school, constantly making messes, bathrooms would get locked down because the students wouldn't behave. Pep rallies were boring, there was not enough engagement with the crowd, only with athletes/teachers so it was really unfair.
I am high school Senior. I enjoyed being a Varsity basketball & football Cheerleader. In addition, I served on the Competition Cheer Team. My years at Freedom High School was fun and I learned a lot. Over the years I met lots of nice people, especially my school counselor, Ms. Tasha Dykes. She was very helpful in providing me the tools I needed to succeed and have a successful high school year. This year has been challenging due to response of COVID-19, but I must say the teachers and my counselor was very supportive to me.
