We have pros and cons. There are some teachers that are excellent and could teach even the worst students, however, we do have our fair share of teachers that just sit at their desk and assign busy work. Our diversity is great because we have students from everywhere, like the twins from Russia, the countless South Americans, and people like me that are from other states around the country. We have clubs for everyone and more being formed every year. Our sports, however, are rarely ever excelling with the exception of swimming and boy's volleyball. The safety at this school needs to be desperately increased! There are open gates all around the school that remain open during all hours of the day. Plus, there is no enforcement of school rules. This school is just average because while we do have great diversity, decent teachers, and tons of clubs, we don't have halfway decent food, bare-minimum safety, and our parents rarely ever get involved.

I have attended Freedom High School since my freshman year and since then I have been involved in clubs, sports, tutoring times, volunteering, and much more. The teachers, guidance counselors, and staff at Freedom High School are very polite and encouraging. They push you to your best ability and are always there for anyone who needs help or has questions! There are plenty of resources at school to help every student be successful for example the guidance counselors, tutoring sessions, librarians, and other students you can lean on. Freedom High School offers many different sports so every person can find something they enjoy participating in! The students who attend Freedom High School are very respectful to adults as well as other students. We are a very diverse group differing from cultures, religions, and race. Overall I have really enjoyed my experience at this high school.
My son's counselor, Ms. Layman, has been amazing! I hear horror stories about how difficult it is to see/work with high school guidance counselors but we got lucky! She is easily accessible and when she is not, she is quick to schedule an appointment. After meeting, she will take the time out of her busy schedule to follow up with a phone call or email. (If needed) She is warm and caring and it is obvious she is 100% there for the students. Thank you for all you do Ms. Layman...FHS is lucky to have you.
