I love the community of Freedom and the amount of support that is there for everyone. This support is especially shown at sporting events and participation in fundraising efforts. The Freedom Area is blessed to have such down-to-earth and considerate residents and students. I will always feel at home in Freedom, Wisconsin.
The teachers here are great! They want their students to succeed. The middle/high school campus is very sad. The school bought land before the recession. The land was for a new high school and an additional elementary school. The school has been so focused on paying of the land that the current school is terrible. Windows are only in a 1/4 of the classrooms, murals are being painted over and the heat/ac only works in some rooms. However, Freedom has very little bullying. The classes here are challenging and I truly feel I belong here. That being said, I personally would not send my future children here because I feel Appleton's schools have so much more to offer.
The teacher are very nice and really care about you and your education. You feel you can really connect with the teachers. The school feels safe and the school tries to prevent any violence or threats. The facilities themselves needs updates, but otherwise there is a good amount of resources and the library has a great amount of resources to be used.
