Frederick Douglass is a very good school. It feels very home like and has a nice sense of community. The school is not very big so most students know each other and also know all of the professors. The teachers are very active in students learning and are very helpful to those who need extra support. The faculty attends to students needs and are provide a firm hand to help kids stay on the right track and make sure they succeed. Helping students graduate and prepare for college is very important to the school. Teachers stay until dark with students to help them go over college essays, applications, and even mailing documents to schools. Frederick Douglass was an integral part of helping me get where I am today.

The school building is not new. It is shared between two or three schools so it can get dirty especially the bathrooms. Technologies are inproving, they are bring more computerized work into the classroom on laptops. The guidance councler is always there and is helpful and so is the college advisor. There is tutoring every week, morning and evening. Teachers are always willing to put it extra time with their students.
My experience has been satisfactory. My eduacation and professors have been great. But I haven't had much fun being there. It is a small, low budget school so we make due with what we have. There aren't many trips or clubs and some of the children like to act out making learning harder for other students.
